OK, I did not get much sleep, and so I was still trying to ignore my alarm at 4:30am. I managed to leave the house by 10:35am and get to work by 11:05am. My Manager is passing out Company Shirts today and everyone wants to know if we are supposed to wear them every day, are they Uniforms? I really do not know.
Man I tell you this place drives me crazy, or maybe I should say "MY MANAGEMENT" drives me crazy. This VISTA class could be a very helpful addition to my career goals. However the class setting is just aweful. The room is too small, and the Lap Tops are "Wack". I to inform the Director and Manager of the situation (as if they did not know) by sending the below email to them.
Kxxx, I want to get as much as I possibly can from this training. I know everyone else feels the same way. The MS Vista sessions being conducted in the Corporate Conference room is not conducive to effective learning. It is very cramped in the room for the 13 people and there is so much on the table that there is no room to put our books note pads on the table and take notes. The Lab Tops keep rebooting without intervention from anyone. This is time consuming and we may end up having to add a day of training to complete all of the Chapters in the book. Most of us have taken these courses before and this time I personally would like to come away with a Certification in the end. Kxxx, I do not mean for this email to sound like I am complaining, I do have a minor suggestion that might help the training sessions go a little smoother. Is there any reason why we cannot use one of the larger conference rooms on the 1st floor? Either the one in the Web group area or the Executive Conference room, both of those rooms are bigger and we may even have enough room to be able to take notes and sit comfortably at the table. Please let me know, so that we can make preparations if it will be ok.
So I send this email and guess what kind of response I get from Kxxx? Well I will tell you. Nothing from him at all. One of the other Managers that I copied on the email told me "We are not going to change the room." "There is a reason the training sessions are set up in the Corporate Conference room." Well I guess I am not privey to that information because it was not offered. So I guess we just have to make the best of this situation. The thick accent, the tight quarters, the rebooting PC's. Hopefully I get enough out of the training, and studing on my own that maybe it will become Certified in about a month or 2. Kxxx makes me feel so unappreciated. All I have to say is "WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO WHEN I'M GONE"? Current Location: WORK Current Mood: sleepy
